Javier Montoya

Javier found his passion for music at a very young age. Since the 2nd grade it was his goal to pursue music as his career. With a passion for Hard Rock music he began his studies into bands like Metallica, Megadeth, and Pantera on guitar. Throughout time branching out to Mariachi, Blues, Salsa, Jazz, Pop and many contemporary styles he has became an eclectic guitar player, singer, and songwriter. Improving his craft on the keyboard and throughout time working diligent on his singing voice he has became a well rounded musician.

After graduating from Musician's Institute in Hollywood CA, Javier, has worked with outstanding musicians and bands in the Los Angeles area professionally. Whether it be for Ivan Castro of Ecuasound playing/recording Latin Styles, Salsa, Cumbia and Merengue to playing with Erik Parker, renowned Gospel Organist, Music Director and Keyboardist of the L.A. area. Javier's main and current project is with his brother Michael entitled The Duo Mickieflip. They play/record original music and perform as a duo on stage with with an Eclectic Rock style!
